What is your opinion of the result of your newest album?
"We are very pleased with the result. We like the songs and the production very much; it's the absolute best so far."
How do you think critics and audience will react on "Buried Alive" compared to your previous two albums? What have been the reactions so far?
"I think everybody (almost :-)) will like it and the reactions so far have been overwhelming."
I had no knowledge of your existence before "Buried Alive", and I have therefore never heard any of your previous work. How would you describe your musical evolution from "Tunes of Steel" to "Buried Alive"?
""Tunes of steel" was more straight power metal and on "Reality" the music took a more symphonic approach and became a bit more complex but there has always been classical elements in the music."
I think it's hard to finger point your musical influences, but I'm hearing a little Iron Maiden, Helloween, Rhapsody and Nocturnal Rites in your songs, but you still manage to keep your own style and sound. Where do you get your inspiration?
"We listen to lot of different kind of music but the general influences are heavy metal and classical music. And we try to have a sound of our own and I think we have that as well."
Your newest release is called "Buried Alive" and all the songs are titled somewhat sad, dark and death related! What is the theme in your lyrics?
"It's a coincidence that the lyrics became sad and dark but I (Niclas) wrote some dark ones and we decide to continue with that style for the whole album."
Ex. Conviction guitarist Niclas Karlsson teamed up with you guys on "Buried Alive". What has he added to the band, socially and musically?
"Well that's me and I'm a VERY nice and social guy!!! (Oops haha!!) No but I come along well with the guys in the band and I was the main songwriter in my old band so I wrote 3 songs and the lyrics for 5 of the songs."
Who came op with the band name Zonata and why?
"It was Johannes and it's related to classical music but we added a "Z" instead of an "S" because it looked better in our opinion."
You're from Sweden! What's with the title of your demo MCD "The Copenhagen Tapes"? (Copenhagen being the capitol of Denmark!)
"Well, That is very simple! It was recorded in Copenhagen Denmark :-)"
Are you planning any tours in the nearest future, and will you visit Denmark?
"We will do our best to come out and play and if enough people in Denmark want us to come, we will come and play for you."
